History

As early as 1988, Micrel develops, in addition to its engineering and design capacity, a policy for the sale of products for its own self on niche markets. These first markets are the Expertest control equipment and the data-loggers for oceanography.
In 2001, Micrel-nke is bought by Jean-Pierre Maquaire who develops its four offers on the French market: custom design studies, electronic systems for performance sailboats, electronic systems for oceanographic instrumentation and control electronics for electric heating.
At the end of 2004, Micrel-nke buys Headway Concept, a company which has launched two innovative products for performance sailing: Echospeed and Proteus.
In June 2005, since the name Micrel cannot be used for export, Micrel-nke becomes « nke »
On January 1st, 2007, Jean-Pierre Maquaire goes into retirement and Jean-Claude Le Bleis, current manager, took over the financial control of the company with the intention of significantly increasing the company's turnover over the next 5 years.
On January 1st, 2009, the company acquires the scientific instrumentation division for deep-sea oceanography from Kannad
